A collaboration between Beyond the Bar and Big Oyster Brewing Company. This session IPA comes in at a 5% ABV allowing to you enjoy more than one at a time.
The perfect collaboration.
This collaboration was born thanks to Big Oysters head brewer and TIPS program graduate, Craig Parmenter.
Craig completed our program in the Spring of 2022 and has been doing whatever he can to help us spread the word about Beyond the Bar to be able to help as many people as possible.
His skills in the brewery are unmatched and this beer proves it. A one-off brew that has turned into a beer that will be brewed all year long. Craig walked through the entire process with Beyond the Bar, from brewing to canning to the release party, it was a group effort.
The Name
86 Bad Vibes is more than just a beer, though. In the restaurant industry, to “86” something, it means you’re out of it. So, were taking the time to 86 our bad vibes and focus on how we can spread more good vibes.
A lot of this comes from looking inward and controlling our own emotions so we can impact positively all the lives we come in contact with.
The Impact
Ten percent of the Delaware sales for this beer is donated to Delaware Restaurant Association’s Industry Relief Fund, created as Delaware EATS to help during the pandemic, the funds have now been transferred to a new fund which helps anyone in the service industry struggling financially because of natural disaster, injury, and sickness.
Starting in Spring/Summer of 2023, 86 Bad Vibes will be available in 12oz cans in both Delaware and Maryland. Keep your eyes peeled for it at all your favorite restaurants and liquor stores!
