One Customer At A Time.

Ryan Ennis

LO tibbets

We are a team of Coaches & Trainers focused on overcoming the unique challenges faced by many people working in the service industry.

We are veterans of the Service Industry, and have faced many of our own challenges over the years.

Now, we’re taking what we’ve learned, and using it to help others.

A Mission Years In The Making…

see how we got here.

is a Christian, Father, Husband, Life Coach, Consultant, and Motivational Speaker that created Beyond The Bar from 10 years working as a personal trainer by day and a bartender by night.

Ryan Ennis

Although his lifestyle was fun, fulfilling, and financially rewarding, it also left him with a bad case of anxiety, burnout, and a less than healthy relationship with alcohol and late night eating.

Summer after summer, year after year he swore that he would create his “exit strategy” from the industry and would pursue his passion, even though at the time he didn’t know what his passion was besides wanting to help people on a greater level.

However, no matter how badly he wanted to get out of the industry, he was always reminded of the reasons why he loved it and would get roped back in for…

“Just one more season…”

It wasn’t until chef Anthony Bourdain committed suicide and headlines about the “Mental Health Crisis in the Service Industry” were draped across every source of media in the country, that he realized his passion had been staring him in the face the whole time.

He thought,

“Someone should create a business designed around showing people in the service industry how to better their mental and physical health so that they can better the lives of everyone they come in contact with!”

And from that lightbulb moment,

Beyond The Bar

was born

After years of researching and trying to understand restaurant “psychology”, he knew that if anyone was going to believe that he knew what he was talking about, he needed a walking testimonial. Although what he wanted was a client willing to trust the process enough to see results,

what he got was so much more.

Lo Tibbets

has 8+ years of experience working in the restaurant industry at some of the most popular places in town, Lo is a seasoned vet when it comes to knowing the positives and negatives that this high stressed environment can cause on it’s employees.

Her ability to relate to people using personal experience and super human levels of empathy make her a guru at helping clients find a balanced lifestyle while working in the industry.

Whether its overcoming self limiting beliefs, fixed mindsets, past trauma,  and/or unhealthy habits, Lo has shown that she ain’t scared to take on a challenge and help clients against all odds…

and she does it all in a pair of crocs!

Ryan met Lo Tibbets shortly after the summer of 2020.

When most industry members were busy binge drinking and watching Netflix, she was busy working with Ryan on her mental and physical health. Six months later she had lost 100lbs, graduated from Ryan’s TIPS program, and created an entirely new version of herself inside and out.

On the other hand, Ryan had never been worse off.

In a matter of months, he had almost lost his house, his newborn son, and was diagnosed with Stage 4 metastatic lung cancer. He knew at that point that if he was going to take Beyond The Bar to the levels he wanted, he was going to need help from someone that was as passionate about bringing positive change to this industry as he was.

And this is the part of the story where the student becomes the teacher…

The Birth of the unit.

With his recent diagnosis, Ryan wanted to help EVERYONE live their life beyond the bar they've set for themselves but didn't want to lose the restaurant industry aspect of the company in its entirety. He knew that Lo was a walking testimony that his program works and could help many others. He asked Lo to join forces with him and she happily took on the challenge with him.

Together, they have grown Beyond the Bar to what it is today; a company focusing on helping the restaurant industry invest in themselves so they can change the lives of everyone they come in contact with in a positive manner.
